Nigel Nixon and Partners, Inc. were commissioned to undertake the design of the paving system at the Queensway Bay Harbor development in Long Beach. The paving comprises clay brick pavers and ashlar concrete pavers set on a sand bed. The substrate is a geogrid reinforced aggregate base over fill material behind the sea wall. Our scope of work was to undertake the design of the paving system, to produce specifications for the works and to develop construction details for interface conditions. During construction we provided site observation services and currently advise the owner on maintenance requirements. Project status – complete.
