Nigel Nixon and Partners, Inc. have undertaken a study on a concrete paver alternative design for cross taxiway and taxilane repair works at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Aircraft types included MD-80, MD-90, B-737, B-757 and A-320 aircraft with approximately 60,000 gate visits per year. The concrete paver alternative was proposed owing to the proximity of active runways and phased construction in this remediation project.
