Construction work is now complete on a 25-acre empty container yard, for Terminal Link Texas, at Bayport Container Terminal, Houston.  NNP were employed as Owner’s Representative and were also engaged as designers.  This project was believed to be the first Design Build project on Port Houston property, a construction contract was bid to a limited list of pre-selected contractors with a minimal Owner’s Requirement [OR].  The successful contractor [Dana Kenyon from Florida] was selected for the innovation within his proposal, the ability to take risk from Owner to Contractor and deliver cost certainty with minimal qualifications to the OR.  The project was subjected to Hurricane Harvey and one of Houston’s wettest winters on record but was still delivered on time and within budget with no work change orders.
