The Mina Raysut Container Terminal was developed by the Sultanate of Oman in 1998, and is being operated by Sea-Land Container Services. The pavements for the terminal were constructed entirely upon dredged fill material comprising sands and gravels, with the potential for generalized settlement. The pavement in these areas comprises concrete pavers over a roller compacted concrete base and cement stabilized subgrade. Nigel Nixon and Partners, Inc. were employed by Sea land to review the pavement designs, and subsequently participated in the design modifications, detailing and specification of the pavements.
